Winter weddings are definitely unique. I got married in winter myself and it was absolutely magical. There’s just a completely different feel to a winter wedding day. I don’t get a lot of winter weddings, but when I do, I get so excited. I love the challenge of shooting in a climate that sort of forces you to get creative indoors and yet can be so completely beautiful for portraits. Ericka & Alex had their big day at the Hilton in bloomington and it was the perfect spot. Such a classy location and not too far from the popular Centennial Lake park where we did portraits at. There’s nothing like a winter wedding in Minneapolis. Especially when the sun comes out, it’s gorgeous! The snow sparkles, the sun is shining but it’s not harsh, the air is crisp and it’s all just the perfect setting to cuddle up to your love, and maybe even say “I do”. Ericka and Alex were so much fun to work with and I had an absolute blast documenting their winter wedding at The Hilton Bloomington.
