2020 was the year for fabulous backyard weddings. Now, these backyard wedding weren’t plan A or probably even plan B, but due to Covid, many couples were forced to change course and plan something more intimate and small in their own backyard. BUT they are just as meaningful and beautiful as the big and elaborate weddings. Sometimes I feel like they can be even more emotional and beautiful as you are stripping away the fluff and bringing it back to what truly matters. The two of you.
Matt & Teri planned originally planned for get married at the beautiful Day Block center, but due to covid regulations and having people in their life that were at risk, decided to host a small gathering at their home to just do the dang thing and get married. Which I LOVED. It was still so beautiful and reflected them so well. They had some of the most important people to them there which made this micro wedding so much fun and sentimental. And now they can look back on their lives and know that this was the house that they got married at and started their lives together at. Which is SO beautiful.
