NOW BOOKING 2026 & 2027 WEDDINGS

10/30/2022

A Halloween Eve wedding at the Watson Block in Minneapolis is already iconic, but this one took it to a whole new level. The bride absolutely stunned in a custom black dress and veil (shout out Beauty by Design MN), while the groom rocked a one-of-a-kind vest covered in skulls that fit the vibe perfectly, underneath his classic and edgy black suit. Surrounded by only their closest family and friends, the day felt intimate, intentional, and effortlessly cool.

Shelby + Steven chose my photojournalism package, which meant very little posing and almost no directing. Just me quietly capturing the day as it naturally unfolded, which means a whole lot less pressure. From getting ready together, nervous glances before the ceremony to belly laughs during toasts, every moment happened exactly as it was meant to. My goal was to document not just what the day looked like, but what it felt like, telling the story through the in-between moments and the atmosphere of this moody, candlelit Minneapolis space.

This wedding was proof that intimate celebrations can be just as powerful (if not more so) than big productions. Between the black veil, skull details, and Halloween Eve magic, the whole day felt cinematic, romantic, and a little rebellious. Basically my dream as a Minneapolis Photographer. If you’ve ever wanted your wedding photos to feel like you’re stepping back into the day itself, this one was the perfect example. 🖤✨
