A Little Piece of Land, A Whole Lot of Love

When Kurt and MaeAnna invited me out to their property in rural Minnesota for their engagement session, I knew we were in for something special. Wide-open space, a private wooden escape, that peaceful country feeling, and a whole lot of room for these two to dream about the life they’re building together? Sign. Me. Up. Because while we absolutely love a gorgeous golden-hour photo (and trust me, we got some GOOD ones!), there’s something about a location that means something to a couple that makes the images feel even more personal. This wasn’t just another spot on the map. This was the beginning of their next chapter. The place where their future home will stand. Where muddy boots will pile up by the door, where morning coffee will taste a little sweeter, where holidays will be spent making memories, and where a lifetime of ordinary, beautiful moments will unfold. And someday, when their home is standing tall and life has filled every corner, they’ll be able to look back at these photos and remember when it was just the two of them, a piece of Minnesota countryside, and a million dreams for what was to come.
